My son asked me to find a book about how to keep a room clean for his 2 year old daughter. Cute book that she likes and appears to understand.

This is the first book I have ever purchased from this author. It was bought for a 2 1/2 year old as a gift. I just finished reading it before wrapping and now I am interested in seeing the other books within this series.Very cute story with nice steady (sentence rhyme) and flow. Darling images of various dinosaurs all cleverly labeled just below dinosaur on each page identifying which type it is. The book has many varieties of dinosaurs all cleaning different areas of their room.Cute, cute, cute book!

I love these Dinosaur books, each of our kids has a “collection” of books we started buying them when they were small that we thought matched their personalities. These are the ones we went with for my youngest son. I can’t say enough great things about them. Obviously the quality is great, but the pictures are also so well done and relatable. I love that each story has a message to it. I’ve had several relatives who work as child educators and/or in the field of child development comment on how much they like the books. This one was the more recent one we bought, it is one of the shorter ones but still just as good as the ones a stage up. Buy one for your own kid or as a gift, I promise they’ll be cherished. My son, at 4, asks for a new Dinosaur book at every gift-giving holiday:)

In a day and age where some children do not always have the advantage of being taught etiquette, I find these books to be such a positive way to teach children kindness and manners. They have a sense of humor that both adults and children can enjoy and learn a positive message about so many different things. You cannot buy manners, you either have them or you don't. Kindness, respect, please and thank you can mean so much for any little thing in life and enrich your life at the same time. I love to give these books as presents because the provide a positive message on sometimes difficult things to express to any one at any age.

I purchased this book because I’m in the midst of teaching my sons how to be tidy and orderly. It’s nicely written with great pictures, but, unfortunately, the majority of the book focuses on the wrong way to clean rather than the right way; in the end I removed it from their bookshelf, because it gave them more ideas about how to be messy than how to be clean.

My review is really for all of the "How Do Dinosaurs" books and not just this one. I first saw these books when I was teaching pre-k. They were a class favorite and the kids wanted to read them over and over. My two year old daughter loves dinosaurs and is obsessed with these books, so we ordered several of them. These are good books with good illustrations.

What a wonderful book series this is! Especially the bigger, illustrated books. I only have one minor complaint. If you're buying the DVD, the parents in that are sometimes afraid of the dinosaurs and they'll even flee from the room. It's my understanding that in the books, the dinosaurs represent children and the parents treat them exactly as such. They're sit/sleep in human beds, sit on human chairs, go to human places and have human toys etc. When the dinosaurs act out in the books, the parents stay stern etc. In the DVD the parents sometimes show fear and run from the dinosaurs. It's not as if in real life, children are going to be confused and walk up to dinosaurs. Let them have the full fantasy fun of dinosaurs as children.

The full-size "How Do Dinosaurs..." books (Eat Their Food, Go To Bed, Get Well Soon, Go To School) are wonderful and fun, and this book follows in that mold. The story doesn't seem much shorter than in the bigger books, and has the same great rhyming cadence even though the words are more than the usual one-syllable words. It is fun for parents to read as well as children! The illustrations seem to be about as detailed as the bigger books, as well. They are just scaled down versions. Of course I miss all the dinosaurs pictured in the endpapers of the bigger books, but the board books are more portable for the car, etc. and not as easily damaged. We also got the board book "How Do Dinosaurs Play With Their Friends" and like it as well. However, "How Do Dinosaurs Count To Ten" and "How Do Dinosaurs Learn Their Colors" are our least favorite books in the series. My son is 18 months old and we started him with these books at about a year old. They are his favorites! He loves to pick out the small details he recognizes (toy trucks & balls, the dog or cat, etc.). And he definitely cares from one day to the next which one we pick out to read - they don't all seem the same to him. He likes some of the dinosaurs better than others, some of the stories better, etc. Great series.

I don't know who thought of this concept of dinosaurs doing things we want our kids to do but it is not only hilarious for us parents, but also totally captivating for the little ones as well. The whole series is great.
